Microdermabrasion is a safe gentle rejuvenating skin repairing system that enables the skin to penetrate products to its deepest layers ensuring the skin receives its maximum benefits. The treatment can be used on any area of concern.
Microdermabrasion is suitable for all skin types.
One session can remove a large number of dead skin cells. Helping to penetrate products deeper into the skin, resulting in maximum product benefits.
The treatment encourages better cellular renewal which improves elasticity, overall texture and reduces signs of ageing.
Customise this treatment to your concerns. The vacuum and crystals are controlled to suit your individual needs.
Instant, visible results as the treatment does not require any recovery time.
Following Microdermabrasion the skin is in a better condition to absorb anti-ageing and acne creams.
Microdermabrasion is much more effective than having Skin Peels, so often patients usually combine the two treatments to get the best results.
Microdermabrasion can also be used in combination with Laser Rejuvenation treatment.
Why should I opt for the Advanced Infrared Microdermabrasion and Vacusound?
Our Advanced Microdermabrasion unit uses an ultra sound electrode to accelerate the skins renewal stage by carrying food (oxygen and nutrients) to the surface of the skin. The ultra sound works together with a vacuum suction and the customised concentrated complexes which will help to increase blood circulation improving the skins texture, collagen and elasticity levels.
By combining these two revolutionary technologies, your skin will feel and look healthier and flawless.
What do I need to consider after I've had my treatment?
After the treatment you may experience slight redness in the first 48 hours. Dependent on skin type you may experience slight shedding but this is a natural side effect and nothing to be worried about. We recommend clients to avoid heat treatments, such as saunas, sun beds, hot baths and vigorous exercise and exfoliation 24 hours after having treatment.
Is this treatment for me?
Microdermabrasion is an ideal treatment for anyone who wants to reduce the appearance of:
○ Fine lines
○ Acne scarring
○ Sun damaged skin
○ Uneven pigmentation
This treatment is safe for all skin types and conditions.
How is the treatment performed?
Skin is cleansed and prepped prior to treatment and then a controlled flow of crystals are passed over the skin, immediately removing dead skin cells. Once exfoliated, a customised concentrated complex is applied to the skin targeting your skin concerns. Our advanced ultrasound vacuum suction helps to penetrate the concentrated complex deep into the skin targeting your main concerns.
The ultrasound helps to promote circulation, accelerate cell renewal and promote collagen. The skin is then protected with a SPF and customised serums and moisturisers.
Why should I opt for Advanced Microdermabrasion over a standard microdermabrasion treatment?
The vacuum capacity used in Advanced Microdermabrasion is significantly stronger than what is used during a standard microdermabrasion treatment, therefore providing much deeper penetration on the skin’s surface. Combined with the ultrasound vacuum suction the skins cell renewal is given a boost as the complexes and serums work together with the skin to increase collagen and firm the skin.
How often do I need to have Advanced Microdermabrasion treatments?
We recommend that you book a course of six Advanced Microdermabrasion treatments. The treatment plan is dependant upon your concerns and targets. To see results we recommend a treatment once every two weeks, to maintain results a top-up session every four-six weeks is ideal. Due to the incredible results, patients often want to continue having treatments, therefore a maintenance course can be discussed with the skin therapist. We recommend the use of Elemis, Dermalogica or Guinot at home to see long lasting results.
Will I experience any pain during my treatment?
The Advanced Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, painless procedure, although you may experience slight discomfort for a short time as the crystals are delivered at high velocity directly onto the skin’s surface. However, the controls of the hand held device and vacuum capacity are flexible, so you can opt for a less intense treatment, this can be discussed with your skin therapist at your consultation.
